My Hyundai Elantra seems like it runs low on oil quite often. I have an hour commute each way every day and if I go over 65 mph, then I have to add a quart of oil. If I drive under 65, the oil level stays the same.

What do you think this is?

What year is the car and how many miles does it have?

Is there any blue smoke coming out of the exhaust at high speeds?

Are there any oil stains on the motor? The valve cover and oil pan gaskets do leak quite easily on these motors.

Also make sure that you are not filling the oil above the crosshatch lines on the dipstick. If you do the crankshaft will hit the oil could cause the consumption at higher speeds.

Make sure your oil filter is on tight, your dipstick is all the way in the tube, and the cap is on. Other than that, check your seals.
