Alright, I have been talking with a local shop about doing a small screen install, with a dvd player and a sega dreamcast(b/c its cheep). Where would you guys put the screen? Or for those of you who have screens, where did you put it? I really dont want it on the ceiling either.

I would get a seperate monitor. Probably flip down from the ceiling; then you can swivel it to any direction. I looked at the Kenwood "pop out" unit, but you have to have the thing out all the time to play CDs and stuff. Kind of distracting while driving I would think. And the angle never changes, which would suck for video games.

I did have a Sony flip down unit in front of my rear view mirror. I took it out though. I'm currently molding in a small monitor in my ash tray area, and putting monitors in each headrest. I have a DVD player in a custom set up in my glove box, and a Sony Playstastion in a custom slide out drawer under neath my rear seats.

A friend of mine has a Dreamcast in his car. He likes it alot even though he doesn't have too many games.

Anyway..good luck with it.

I've seen quite a few people take out the passanger side air bag and mount the screen where it used to be, its probably not to safe for your passanger but if it is flush mounted it looks real nice

It would depend on the size of the screen and how much you are willing to spend. I personally will probably mount monitors in each head rest and mold one into the dash where my factory radio is. But I put my self through college working in the car audio industry. If cost is big issue then a flip out monitor is the most logical choice.

I like the idea about taking the passenger side air bag out and having it flush mounted there, but i would feel like crap if i got into an accident and my passenger got hurt. I think im going to get rid of my cd player and get a screen, have the dreamcast mounted in the glove compartment. Is there anyone who knows where I can get a good deal on a cd/dvd player with flip up screen. Ive seen em as cheep as $600.00 ...

screw your passanger. i'd kick there ass if they ****ed up my ****. i'd be like **** biotch, why you got to be breaking my ****. you should get a steel cage around the screen so if any mishaps happen, your not out of the money.
