hey hey all
are there any benchmarks or scanned in Pics of a Beta Accent preferably the 2L convertion!
(Mitsibishi/Hundai and 100% Hyundais old or new)
Stock or modiefied i think this whould be really cool so we can see how tough this cookie really is? anyway gota go

any Dyno runs will do

I don't think most people would run an accent on a dyno without other mods like a turbo or sc. There realy is not much point in it cause of the cost to run on a dyno and we already know how much power the beta produces. You may gain a little at the wheels since the axles are a little shorter therefore probably lighter but not enough to make any real difference.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

There is lots of pionts pal!

ever put a cam in your car and you think it gives you more top-end, its lumpy very rough and it feels nice! but then your run it on the Dyno and youve drop 4 Kw's Hmm?

Every put on differnt mags And tyres?
Bigger tyres my wait heaver mags more wait less performance?

how do you know for a fact that a Cold Air intake actually works you rely on the Cold hard facts it could just look nice Cold hard facts is a dyno Run here a Dyno run costs about 5 Pounds and 7.5 Dollars

Think your cars is loosing some tork Run it on the Dyno

And then you can Compare? does the Opel 2l 8 Valve really Beat a Tib? or a VW 2l 8 Valve(GTI)
+ alot of people dont/Know what the differnce is between the Fly Wheel and on the wheel

OK <b>PAL!!!!</b>

I was simply stating that most of the peeps here who have done this swap still have a fairly stock motor. No one that I am aware of has a highly modified beta swap. That means that there is no real need to dyno. Besides I do not know of anyone who has dynoed because they got new rims.

I am not sure if you are flaming me or if something is just getting lost in the translation. But if you do have a problem with my post I am sorry. It was not intended to raise your temper I was just stating a few facts.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

Stock beta swapped into a accent should be about a 15 sec cookie.

Cookies and milk I would say, or at least decaf coffee! The tibs motor is rated at the flywheel from the factory, since you will most definitely have an aftermarket intake & exhaust (you wouldn't have the Beta breathing through an Alpha I&E would you?) you will probably be running a little over stock. The Accent also uses smaller OD tires, so there might be a slight bit of gain there. All in all, there would be approximately JACK difference to a tib with the same mods!<img src=/images/forums/snitz/mad.gif width=16 height=16 border=0>

BTW, if dyno testing is so cheap there, why don't you do the swap and find out? Here in Canada, it is between $50-100 for an hour without a mechanic.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

hey hey all i am quiet chilled!

i didnt get pissed,
he just said that running a dyno on a beta accent is not worth it so i might of taken offence because this is Hyundai Form were people Like Hyundai so i took that as bad news

Ps it takes alot to piss some one off and really i didnt get pissed

All i wanted to know if we could do a comparison?

I really Love hyundai but the only reason im doing the 2L Swop is because i want Hyundai to Kill opel/Vauxhall 200is and Golf GTI's and Nissan Sentra 200sti

ps Im Busy Negeotating the Price seems the last quote that i got Directly from the Motor Supplier undercut the Quote by some margin so dont put Pressure on me!

Did you know the money im gonna spend doing the swop will be lost for ever Hybrids have no Value What so Ever!

you'll find the dyno graphs you're looking for at:

www.hve.com.au

click on the x3 excel/accent picture, scroll down to "Engine and gearbox", click on "2 litre engine transplant".

the graphs are there for the beta, and the DOHC and SOHC 1500s.

Well unfortunately any time you put money into a far it is usually lost. Modifing cars is not an investment it is a hobby.

Like most peeps here in the states I will not dyno my car until I add Turbo.
