Here it is, i have a 97 Lantra, and was wondering what year Tibby ecu i could swap out, or if that was a good idea or not. Suposedly the tib had 140 horsepower, or somting like that, and i have only 126. Now, my mods have cause a check engine light that throws a code of "factory fuel/air miture error". Have no sh!tten clue how to fix that, other than getting a piggyback or similar divice. Will the tib ecu like my mods? and will i notice and power increases at all?
if i get a piggy back, its goin on the tib unit, if it works that is.

Thanks for anything that will help, and yes, i did search, but everypost deadened and they never said if it worked or not.

97 lantras had the 1.8L motor. The Tibs had the 2.0L motors. The ecus although are changeable will not help you gain anymore power of fix your cel problem.
