I just got this car, I noticed louvers in the driver front fenderwell, is this where the intake air for the engine comes from, it looks like it to me.

There is a box there. We have a factory semi-CAI as I call it. You see the divider that goes around the battery. There is a tube behind it that goes down into the box in the fenderwheel then goes up into the factory air box. I took my stock air box off and got a 92-95 Civic intake. You have to cut a couple inches off the end because it's a little to long but the angle is right. The length you cut off will differ depending on which intake & filter you buy. My filter sits directly behind the tube that comes up from the fender wheel. My filter has a "Air horn funnel" hole in the end and the air from that tube goes directly into it. I got the intake for $60. Nice gain in hp. I guess about 5hp. I left the divider in for a little extra heat protection. I can e mail you a pic tomorrow if you want.
