Well I saw a turbo charger at that apexi site they said it was universal. But I know you need more than just a Turbo charger, I have 5000 dollars to spend if I want turbo, But I dont know what I need to get started.

I just posted under the forced induction/nitrous in are there any other turboed Elantras out there, what you need to turbo an elantra, sonata, your's is basically the same but where on the old school elantras and sonatas that came with the 4g67,and 4g63 motors the turbo manifolds form Eclipses,Talons, and Lasers just bolt up to our motors. I your case you need to have a Custom made turbo manifold made to fit the car and the turbo.
And everything else is the same. Hope I've helped you out if not feel free to asking Questions.

Lantra, you can order a turbo kit from Alpine Developments or supercharger kit before the end of August for $1900 <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>. This comes with the intercooler and everything and will put you about 200hp to the ground.

4G63, thanks alot, now the only thing left to find out is where to find a custom manifold for my 97 sonata. i really appreciate all that you told me, you helped me alot. I can't wait to get it all put in so i can beat all these people that are hyundai-haters.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

ok stupid question. IM a domestic man we have blowers and flowmasters Wwhat the hells the difference between Supercharger and Turbocharger I have a faint idea but not a poistive one witch is better?????

Yo 4door, My 1997 has a 1.8 liter. These guys at the website have a turbo charger and a super charger for a 2.0 Tibby.. i know both Elantra and Tibby engines are the same but will a 2.0 Super or turbo work with a 1.8 L ?
