well i havnt been on here in likfe 4 months i think. but my engine check light came on its been like 2 weeks after installing a new air intake is this normal? i just wana make sure about this.

There's nothing abnormal about any engine mod throwing a CEL... Have you reset your ECU and made sure your vacuum hose is attached properly? To reset your ECU simply disconnect your battery and wait a few minutes then reconnect. Give those a try if you haven't and see if it helps. If the CEL comes back you'll need to take it somewhere and have the engine code read to see what exactly is throwing the CEL.

well all i really did was attach a cone filter after the maf so i didint mess with the vacum hose at all.

thnx for the input

ill reset the ecu tomorrow and c what happens, i hpoe it isnt ne thin bad

You need to move the airfilter fartherdown on the intake side. Not right on the maf, because that will not smooth the air out enough. You are probably getting a code for a bad maf.

move the filter farther away down the line with some piping from autozone.

I attached the cone almost dirtectly to MAF got no CEL Codes but I did have Battery disconnected
