Have a 2008 Santa Fe with a blown engine that was pulled up not sure the real problems as previous owner passed.
Where I am its far easier to locate Japanese jdm engines than a kia or hyundai engine, so am looking at swapping in a JDM engine just need some suggestions as which ones would be the easiest to swap. a relative will be doing the work so labour costs is not a major issue
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, thinking of a non Hyundai Kia engine swap, as an example of over a hundred auto ads in yesterdays daily paper only saw 1 or 2 Hundai or Kia for sale so parts not as easy to locate. Vehicle is a 2.2 Diesel.
