err 8 on stereo

I cannot get a tape to eject on my '03 Tib. When I put the tape in the display said err 8 and it will not do anything. My radio and cd player continue to work, but I get nothing when trying to eject or change sides of the tape. I tried disconnecting the battery and hooking it back up, but still nothing. Has anyone had this problem or know a solution???
