Do you know how Evo's (espically the later model styles) and the like have those open bonnet vents, i mean the hole in the bonnet over the engine that's covered with mesh, i am wondering how the hell they stop moisture and rain getting into the engine?

I think they look great but how do you keep the engine dry with a bloody great hole in the bonnet, covered only by mesh?

also is it legal to go chopping into your bonnet without re-strengthening the braces cut?

Not shure about bracing rules but here in aus its ilegal to have an opening in the bonnet we have strange adrs cause if the car mas manufactured that way than this is ok! but anyways they say if the car overheats or busts a radiator hose steam will cover the windscreen and u cant see. Well....."BANG" you'l be left with a hyundai badge in your forehead, but im workin on one mabey with pespecs to cover the hole . ill see how that goes or wat the say
