that muffler should be fine. there all pretty much the same. make sure you have your piping mandrel bent instead of crinkle. it`s a bit more expensive but it`s the only way to see any gains. also from the cat back.
Exhaust Opinions/Options?

But I am not sure about this one. I am going to do a cat back 2" pipe and obviously looking for a gain in power, realistic gain of about 5hp or so? I like the style of this but is there anything I should be considering when purchasing a universal muffler? Any other links anyone could provide for one?

You should get one that looks more clean and not the can type. I have the Dynomax superturbo muffler and it looks and sounds great. I mean, to me it looks so much cleaner and professional than those fart cans. It costs about 40 shipped.
Yeah that's just another nasty fart-can. Unfortunately, a lot of those Universal mufflers are just going to be that type.
Could you post up a link of the one your talking about? Id at least like to take a look at it.

thats the link to the muffler im talking about. I bought it from summit racing too and they ship pretty quick. And if you want, you can probably put a tip too to make it look a little nicer.

Ummm...ok yeah. Does anyone ever look at Ebay anymore? For Universal things look at Ebay first. I have a muffler I got off Ebay for $20 and I havn't had any problems. Check it out.

I left my resonator on and cut the muffler off. I put one of those chrome muffler tips on........it needs something lacking but hell i like it.....i was wondering though is that possibly why my mpg dropped so quickly recently?
