OK here is my question...

Thinking of upgrading my stock 2001 Tiburon. Eventually I'd like to get the Ballistic Turbo, but that will take a a little time.
I want to get better flow what muffler should I look to get? I don't like the noise that the honda boy around here make, in fact I can't stand it. I want my car to flow better but be as quit as possible (anyone remember Rossavelt.. "speak softly and carry a BIG stick"). What can I do about this.
Also it seems that 2.25 pipe would be preferable, but if and when I do get the Turbo kit (drooling) will 2.25 be ok or should I move up to 2.5?
Again, personally I cant stand those LOUD bumble bee on steroids sound. I really want to tone it down, what will make this possible? Or Should I invest on ear plugs and put a sing on my tib apologizing for horrible noise. Any and all coments welcome and apreacited.

Thanks for your help,
Rojas

2.5 or 3" if you are going to do the turbo. But wait till you do the turbo.

If you want a good exhaust without going turbo I would suggest getting the MBRP 2.25" exhaust.

You can find it on Speedstate's web page.

Can someone tell me what headers would fit the MBRP exhaust from speedstate on a 97 Tib. I asked the guy from speedstate and he said that he had a header for that exhaust but the Tib's in the US weren't passing the state EM test. Then he went and said that he might be coming out with another header. So I asked him if any other header would fit the MBRP exhuast he said no I think he just wants me to not get some other header from some where else This happened before the 2001 NOPI (the MBRP exhaust did sound sweet from philly to the ATL)I'm the type of person that does not like the word MIGHT by a company. I also hate getting the run around buy someone So can someone, anyone tell me what header or headers fit the MBRP exhaust and where I can get a resonator for it if any before I have to go up to Canada with all of Philly and open a can of........

First of all, chill out. Second of all...if you did your homework, you would realize that the headers available right now are 2.5" and don't line up perfectly with the MBRP. That is why it is call a "Cat-back". They were not designed to hook up to headers, although if you really want to, a good performance shop will be able to fit it for you. Also, if you want to quiet down your exhaust, get the glasspack muffler (resonator), which the MBRP includes, and a silencer for your muffler. Thats it man...simple, nothing to get worked up over.
