This was at FxTreme. It's a FACTORY installed turbo on an Accent and a Superchager on an Elantra.

Here's the link:

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>Externally, the bright yellow Accent will feature a Sick Division bodykit comprising aggressive front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a large rear wing. It will ride on 18-inch chromed alloys, behind which lies full-house twin-coil suspension with adjustable spring preload, rebound damping and castor/camber geometry.

The show Accent will also feature a booming new sound system and, while the suspension system is said to cost around $3900, Hyundai says a less extravagant version of it could be offered to Accent buyers for around $1500.

Under the hot Accent's bonnet lurks a Garrett turbocharger and Chiptorque engine management system that combine to liberate an extra 50 per cent of peak power at the rear wheels.

thats a little less than 140hp to the fly (assuming it would be 50% to the flywheel too) so it wouldnt be a MAJOR hyundai eater. it will give them a really good run for their money though.

Rudy, I'll bet it wouldn't be too far behind an Si. You figure the torque would be up around 135 lb-ft if not more, with a base weight of the car being ~2200lbs.

That's good for 15s.

true, just kind weak for a turbo car, i guess it really wasn't meant for the performance anyway. but i wonder what that talk of the rear wheels is? is it just for that car or will they actually convert all models to rwd?

140hp actually isn't that bad for a factory turboed 1.6L. Think of the S-Coupe, that only had 115hp and it was pretty quick.

As for the RWD thing, I'm betting it's a misprint.
