Good run. I would encourage you to go back and get an even better time.
Empty your trunk, take out spare and jack, and run on half a tank. If you drive and shift the same, and the conditions are similar...temperature etc. you should get 15.6 or 15.7. Just removing the spare and jack would drop your time by .19 seconds...over the 1/4 mile...more like .09 0-60.

see i dont understand that taking out your spare and stuff. that just says you can run a better time with less weight, which should be true for everyone. i might understand it if your car was just a drag car, but if you race on the street at all, running that faster time doesnt mean schit unless you drive around without your spare. you have to include that your ran a 15.7 without your spare and stuff if you were talking to someone about 1/4 mile times. i'd rather see what my car can do on a regular basis. i guess thats just my opinion.

EDIT: good run nonetheless.

I don't drive around town with my spare. I have a new car with new tires and the great Hyundai Road Side Assistance if the new tires should go flat. Taking out the spare is just another form of weight reduction. Besides, lets say you took part in a match race, wouldn't you want to know what your car could REALLY do in a 1/4 mile before hand?
Wouldn't you remove the spare on race day? If you didn't you'd be giving away a small stretch of road to your opponent.

ummm roadside assitance takes a few hours to get there, and all they will do is put the spare on for you...

new tires don't mean **** to nails...

i personally always have my spare with me, i don't care how faster it makes me (got to love my roll cage how that adds about 60 lbs too)

but to be stranded for hours, vs i change my spare tire in 15 minutes, i say is worth .19 on the quarter mile

if i can get to the track, then i would take it out, maybe.

and my back seat, and probably my passengers front seat, and speakers, empty nos bottle, all the goodies lol

but until the time i get my ass down there, it all stays...

i dont have a back seat, a spare, or even much of a trunk for that matter and i pulled a 15.7@ 94 on a WASTED clutch.....anyway mister good run.....i'll have to race you someday....as a matter of fact i think the one guy on here i cant touch is the dude with the 4g sonata...(well maybe if i brought out the ol' lunchbox [his motor in an excel with a better turbo and no interior])

Removing you spare and running on E from 1/2 tank will save you less than 100lbs, which would equate to no more than .1 quicker. You had a pretty good launch there, and your trap speed is perfectly matched to your time. Try cutting your 60' down to 2.1x and you can probably eek out a 15.79 at the same mph.. nice run

No VTC, not according to calculations. The .1 you mention is
pretty close for maybe 0-60. It would be at least two tenths over a 1/4 mile. What formula are you using?

The time tested every .1 you drop on your 60', cuts .2 on your 1/4 mile ET

VTC,
The statement I disagreed with was regarding 100 lbs of weight reduction equaling .1 seconds over a 1/4 mile. A weight reduction of 100 lbs on a Tib or Elantra (similar curb weight) would be about .30 to .31 over a 1/4 mile. Just the spare and jack would cut about .19 or so.
