hey
i got a 99 excel and i just got my air filter..
its an "s&b" (i havnt heard of that brand either) its huge like 6.5" x 3". i just got it hooked up to the stock rubber 2.5" intake pipe, and im soooo happy with it
, it increased acceleration a little, and now the engine has this deep roaring sound. anyways i do have a question
the airfilter is just sitting in the stock air box, as the lid is off.. and the stock intake pipe (the plastic one at the front) is still connected, so my question is.. when im driving that 2 will pickup air and will pass it into the air box where my new filter is located, will this extra force or air, do anything to performance, because if so then maybe i should extend it from the front of the car to the foglights so it can pickup cold air and pass it into the air box... i hope you all understand what i mean... cause i read over it and i dont
thanks
