I thought i read somewere that accents have forged i think rods but it could be crankshaft idk whut u guys know?- and whats the benefits on a non turbo'd car for having forged rods or wutever.. plus is this for all accent motors or just like 1999 and lower-i have the 1.5L sohc does this have forged rods?

No real gains other than the parts are more durable. The better idea for N/a is to get higher compression pistons and/or have your bottom end uber-balanced. That is if you are going to get longer duration cams and want to spin the motor a little faster. ;)

Unless you are going for serious hp leave the bottom end alone.

No idea on what the accent has stock.

I'm 95% sure the crank is forged, pretty common anymore. The rods and pistons are cast. Everything was built beefy because there was a turbo version of the 1.5L SOHC and because Hyundai wanted to make the car reliable/durable to abuse heaped on it by people who view the car as disposable.

The main benefit is durability under high stress applications like racing (high boost and/or sustained high rpm over a long time).
