Today, 7/14/2019, when I'd login, the forum software said "welcome <name>" - or similar.
In less than 2 seconds, it was redirecting me to another page (may have showed a msg on that).

The page it took me to (I think forums) showed I wasn't logged in. I repeated the process a couple times - same thing.

I'm using Firefox 68 in Linux. I use NoScript & that may be the problem, though I didn't spot an obvious reason in its log (via Firefox's browser console log, showing all communication with or concerning the current site.

I allowed all other parties scripts in NS. For some reason, *cloudfront.net didn't show in NS's list until I allowed others. After reloading the site, then cloudfront showed.
I'm not sure if cloudfront was part of the problem or if hyundaiperformance relies on certain other 3rd party scripts being allowed, or else staying logged in fails?

Finally, I went to this Site Issue sub forum - after I allowed cloudfront's scripts. From there I tried logging in again & it worked this time. Least, didn't log me out in 2 seconds.

I have seen a very few sites over decades with unsuccessful login on some pages (or home page), but logging in from other site pages worked. And unsuccessful logins often had nothing to do w/ NoScript because I wasn't using it or disabled it on sites having problems - & it didn't solve the problem.

Thanks!

Hello there,

For starters, can you clear your cache and cookies and click the "Remember Me" box when you log in?
Test it a bit and let us know if it's still happening.

Thanks Ed.
How long does "remember me" save my user name or other identifying data?

On this site, what exactly is saved by "remember me?"
I tried it today & it didn't seem to kick me off, even w/o clicking "remember me," so I don't know what happened before.

The other day, I cleared cookies & cache + closed / reopened the site. Still kicked me off almost immediately.
I don't see why allowing or not allowing cookies for only one of www.performancehyundai.com or *.performancehyundai.com would matter, but maybe it does.

Yesterday, I only allowed one of those - at first. It finally let me stay logged in after allowing cookies for both instances, but I was trying a lot of things. Don't know which was the magic bullet.

Hey,

The "Remember me" function should remember your info indefinitely. It will, however, be removed if you clear your cache and cookies. At the moment, are you still having this issue or is it working as normal?
