Ok, this problem might seem kind of odd. Well lately, my low gas light has been coming on and I fill it up then, like I always have. But lately, I have only been putting in about 8 1/2 gallons when before, it would be about 12-12 1/2.I was just wondering if anyone could help me with this problem?

Float stuck? Do tib's have floats!? Ah well, if they do that might be the problem. I haven't had my gas light come on yet. I usually fill up at just under a quarter tank. I can't stand having less.

That's what my light does, too. It only comes on for like 2 seconds, then goes off and that is only when you need to be at the gas station like THAT SECOND. Is that what it is supposed to do?

(My boyfriend swears that there is a sensor that knows when you notice the light is on, just so you know you need to get gas then, then turns off! )

Well, I have been driving it the same since I got it, but The light just comes on and the gas gauge is at E even though I know that there is more gas in there. When I first got it, the light would come on and I would fill it up and the pump would read 11, 12, etc. But lately, it has been around 8.5

eh...i had to change out the float in my old ford ranger...that was a bitch. I havn't quite figured out this gas tank light on my Tib either...I guess its time to read a bit of the manual. Funny thing is, i get better milage out of my Tib than I ever did in my ranger...figure that one out

The low fuel light is a seperate sensor from the main fuel gauge. Mine flickers at about 10 gallons when accelerating hard, and comes on solid at about 12 gallons. It is a 14.5 gallon tank, so keep that in mind when adding fuel and figure out how much is left.

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.

you took the words right out of my mouth random. except my gas light only comes on when i have a gallon left and taking hard turns, like 60mph on an exit ramp.
