on speedvision on the import auto show...the apc rep was saying that they chose to use the tiburon as their flagship car because they are very underpowered compared to most other cars....and also that it is soooo hard to do stuff with the car.....I think it is bullshit....They might have chosen a tiburon but they don't stand behind it

Some people really need to do some reasearch before they open there mouths, the tiburon comes stock with 140hp with what 133lbs of torque? I dont call that underpowered. And what is he saying about tibs are hard to do things with? Its called get off your lazy ass and again do some reasearch, They make as much performance crap for a tib then they do anyother car, You just have to look, Just because we dont have the biggest accessory industry like Honda does doesn't mean we are underpowered, hard to fix up, Hyundai cars. apc is trying to make a point that they can fix up a car that isn't wideley accepted/known in the performance industry. actually it is a pretty good buisness move if you think about it. not many people know the extent that you can hook up a tib, therefore when they see that apc has done it they are impressed, which in turn gives apc a better name.

I agree...it's all business....it's PR posturing! It's "look how cool we are because we stand behind the underdog." And the truth is that Hyundai is the underdog...for now. But for people who are smart enough to do their homework and learn about the company and the cars...well...they enjoy the rewards of victory!

All they made for the Tib so far is Altezza's and Gauges..and they dont even care about the 1st Gen tib..(sniff)
