Hi! This is a question for those who have 2001-2002 Elantra GT. When I turn on my parking lights, my fog lights do ot turn on. I turn the switch further, to low beams, they turn on. I think the fog lights are supposed to work with just parking lights as well. How can I fix that? Or I should go to the dealership?

Parking lights? or just daytime running lights ( I think they are the same ) that laws say fogs go on only with low beams, remember most other cars fogs are not factory installed os they get hooked up any howthey want ( like mine, fogs and hi beams hehehe I'm so evil ) .

Check your owners manual.
Mine come on with parking lights, low beams & hi beams but they won't come on independantly.
They may be wired differently for Aus & US though.

For some reason, my GT does the same thing. I think the switch is designed to only turn the low beams and fog lights on at the same time.. I don't know why!<img src=icon_smile_shy.gif border=0 align=middle>

I just checked the manual and it says that the fog lights should turn on with the parking lights too. I'll take it to the dealership next week and ask them to fix that. I think it looks nice with fog lights on and headlights off.
