my friend put a vtec head on his honda (non vtec) I was wondering if i could put a 1.8 or 2.0 head on my 1.6 dohc accent 2k1 engine. would this work? would i get big gains??/

no it wont you have an alpha motor the tibs and lantras have betas..i would just do the 2.0litre swap or..i know in europe the tibby has a 1.6 dohc turbo motor..dont know if it is the beta or alpha but if it is the alpha you could get the turbo from overseas... the euro tibby hp specs r approx 150hp according to max power (uk edition...why do they get the cool cars)<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

WTF???????????? TURBO 1.6L in EUROPE???? Could one of the brits <b>PLEASE</b> find out if it is an alpha or beta engine?

No, there is no Hyundai Factory 1.6L Turbo Beta engine.

The 15xHP tiburon was a UK only limited edition Tiburon called the F2 Evo.

Until Hyundai comes out with a variable valve timing head, you cannot do any head swaps.

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.
