Hey all, I have recently purchased a new Head Unit, Sub and Amp for my 2001 Hyundai Tiburon with the 4 inch stock unit:

Subs: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7044085&type=product&id=1099396976115

Amp: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6755594&type=product&id=1087342241703

HU: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7044067&type=product&id=1099397002981

I also have a installation kit to get the HU into my 4 inch tall stock unit spot coming in the mail. After reading the manuals and from what I already knew and some research I understand where all the wires go etc. etc. But there are a few things I don't know how to do.

1. How do you get the power cable from the inside of the car to the battery? Do I have to cut a hole anywhere?

2. How do I get the things from the back of the head unit to where they need to be, such as the remote and rca wires to the amp, and the iPlug to the dash

3. How to get the stock head unit out

I have never done any of this before and have not attempted anything yet, thanks in advance for any help.

Suggestion: Re-Think the equipment your getting Dual has issues with quality and almost all of the products are over-rated.

Answers:
1. You dont have to cut any holes in your firewall to send the power wire thru just look at the firewall and look for wires going into the cabin, then feed the wire thru that same whole(using some kind of thin metal rod will make this easier).

2. I suggest running the remote and rca's down the passanger side and tuck all the wiring under the carpet by removing the moulding holding the carpet down, you may need to remove the rear seat bottom to send the wires into the trunk cleanly.

3. Im not to sure but you may have to remove some of the dash pieces to get to the screws that are holding the stock h/u in place. BECAREFUL no to scratch anything because it can be a bitch to match colors.

Subs: You might need to spend a little more
2 of these: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6255134&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03081&id=1072284520637
or if you have your heart set on 12's same subs just 12's, box isnt included

Amp: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6982107&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03087&id=1099388426341
Your going to have to run both positive and negative sub wires together to make this amp run into 2 ohms.

thanks for the tips, but I disagree with you on the parts... I actually got good deals for all that stuff, all of it combined only cost me about $250, I agree that setup is better but I can't afford that. Can you clarify on your statement about Dual and/or link to some articles or reviews that agree... all that I have read and heard about the company have said the opposite. Thanks again
