well i did search and found a awd tiburon in thailand and it was using the evo 4 4g63t and drivetrain set up. my only concern is getting the ems remapt and the mounts created. I have contacted a local shop here in Aruba, and i have arranged a meeting to discuss what is all required for the swap. these guys are no joke. they have already done a 13b REW rotary CR-X and it was rwd. and they also have done some sr20det's in an ae86. as soon as i get some info i will post it.

As long as your not trying to gain use of variable valve timing the drivetrain of a 1st gen dsm 90-94 eclipse talon laser has the corect engine orientation fir the tib, so with a few mount modifications and stand alone ecm the swap can be relativly easy ps the 4g63t out of a 90-91 dsm have an additional 25 hp than the 92-94, once my delta motor dicides to kick the bucket, im patiantly waiting at 246000 miles, i have a 91 4g63t imported from japan with 39k on it ready to drop in, but the mounts will be the fun part, hopefully you have a friend that is a machinest, the shafts canbe custom ordered in any length hp and tooth combo with just a little googleing, if u have any questions email me

old ,but,ok, so why may I ask? , for the track?, for the local mall parking lot?..daily?, why not just build the beta, boost to 450 and drive it all day since you got all that cash for a boosted 4g63t swap??......."well i did search and found a awd tiburon in thailand".do you even read whats posted in your own thread??

This should shed some light on what's possible. I've never tried to swap a Tiburon, but it appears to have a SIRIUS II engine just like the Kia Optima and the Evo. If your engine code starts with G4xx, then you have a block that's compatible with what's in this video. This was my exploratory session with the guy that built my 4g63T Hyundai Elantra (which I just finished rebuilding 2.0L 6-bolt DOHC 9.4:1 dynamic cr, ported/polished head HKS 264/272's and a 20g). The man's forgotten more about these engines than I'm likely to ever learn. Pay attention. The internal components match the bore specs for all the DSM 4g63/4g64 stuff. The bearings fit both the crank and the block. That speaks volumes.

I can't answer questions about drivetrain geometry, axle seals, splines and engine mounts in the Tiburon because I'm completely un-familiar with it.

No sh*t. This is THE jafro. This guy is a DSM/4G63 legend. He is knowledgeable with these engines in a way that no workshop manual will ever match... if you wanna learn about how to prep an engine then you have to watch his videos. I've binged on his channel and it helped me improve my skills
