haha. i hate it when my knocker sensor goes bad... i always end up staring at flat girls when it goes bad or isn't calibrated.

i'm not sure your actually talking about the knock sensor here... if the knock sensor was in the throttle body wouldn't it be constantly set off by the sound of the air flowing through the TB? plus if it was before the cylinders how is it doing to detect when knock occurs?

are you sure your not talking about the mass air flow sensor? do hyundais even have MAF's? or do they use MAP sensors to calculate the amount of fuel to be dumped into the cylinders?

take my post with a grain of salt. keeping in mind i dont know much about specific hyundai products, i'm looking for answers to those questions =)

The reason WHY he his engine is over reving or not idleing correctly is because of his sensor on his throttle. we have MAFS. hondas have maps.

do hyundai's use a drive by wire system? or do they use cable throttles? sounds like it's a DBW setup if it really is his TB acting up...

its the gay ass throttle position sensor. that basterd is hard to get out to! what i had to do was notch deep slots into the screws w a dremel, and unscrew it. unless, you have the one with the 9mm bolt heads, then you gotta be carful you dont tourqe the bitches off, like i did on my accent TPS, then u gotta drill um out etc.etc. ( i had 2 throttle bodies, one for an elantra, it had the bad TPS)

Oh :) I should have warned you about the TPS screws, they are so soft and the heads so shallow they go in and I need to drill mine out :(
