Gday all - my X3 Excel needs some love.

1. On the standard rotors, what front brake pads will survive high heat and limited performance driving? The current pads just dont cut it.

2. The clutch is going.....A daikin clutch was suggested to me. Should I get a HD one? What type? I dont want to get a stiff and difficult clutch for traffic.

Thanks

For pads try somthing like the EBC greenstuff or Bendix Ultimate if they make it.

Clutch wise a daikin heavy duty item should hold a mildly modded motor. I had one in my Coupe and can say it grips very niceley and is very easy to drive with.

I would highly recommend the Bendix Ultimate pads in terms of outright 'bite'. Beware the extra dust, though.

Im excited too, as Ive got a new sound system going into it tomorrow. Focal 6.5" splits, eclipse EV4000 amp, 10" eclipse sub, alpine head unit, sound deadening etcetc. Going for sound quality - should be excellent!
