I keep having this pains in my stomach it's located about four inches or so up and to the right of my belly button. And sometimes it moves to the left side but mainly the right side. At first I thought it was my appendix but then I called some number that has nurses that you can ask questions to and they said if it keeps hurting go to the hospital. But if not see my doc with in 24 hours. I didnt go b/c the pain went away but now it's back. I thought that it might be my gallbladder my friend thinks I have some kind of gallbladder problem b/c I can eat cheese and it doesnt bother me but I can't if take a little bit of milk. And I feel nausea alot of the time after I eat like meats and things. Any ideas???? Thanks.

How long has this been going on? Does it only happen after meals? Any diarhea and or constipation or are you regular? Anything else you notice abnormal?

Here are some possibly causes:

Gallbladder problem. Does the back of your right shoulder ever ache you?

Stomach, duodenal, and or pyloric ulcers usually get worse after eating or when you're under stress.

Diverticulitis, it's where an outpocketing of you intestine develops (like polyps) and it gets inflammed and causes you all sorts of stomach and intestinal problems.

Another possibility is that you may be lactose intollerant, but eating cheese should affect you in a similar way it does when you drink milk.

Pancrease or spleen problem (not good)

Something else to remember quilty is that you've been under a lot of stress this year with the job, the injury to your hand, and etc...

One thing not to overlook is the appendix! Take your temperature if it's elevated above 98.6 then you may have an infection present. This is something that should be checked right away especially if the pain gets worse. If your appendix burst you could die!

Guilty, you should get immediate medical attention, just in case it's your appendix

Well I dont feel the pain in my lower back or anything with the pain. It's not a hard pain to the point to where I would double over or anything. It's more like someone poking me with a sharp object. But like today it hasnt bothered me. But when it does it comes right after I eat. And I do have a little constipation and when I do go to the rest room very little comes out and it seems to be kind of sticky I guess thats what you would call it anyway. And yesterday I was going to the first room to pee like every 45 mins or so. And I usually only have to use the restroom was a day to have a bowel movement. But when it hurts it seems to make me go move like 3 times a day.

Hey Doc went to the Doc the other day and he checked out some things. They took a urine sample and had me lay down and act like I was doing a situp. He had me hold the situp and felt around on my stomach he said he didnt fell any abnormal things with my stomach. He suggested that I try Metamusal(sp) to help me stay me regular to see if that would help.

But you'll never guess what happened that night when I got home. Well I was sitting on the floor indian stlye and when I went to get up I must have put all my weight on my left knee. While it was still bent and I heard it pop really loud about 10 times and then we I finally got standing up and the leg straightned I actually felt my knee slip back into place. It hurt so bad that I almost threw up. And now I'm having problems moving it I can't move it without hurting or put any weight on it. What is the best way to heal it at home? I've been putting heat and ice on it but it doesnt seem to help much. Also it especially hurts when I move my ankle inward toward the right foot. Man could this year get any worse?

Don't put any heat on it! That will cause the inflammation to get worse and lead to more damage. Put ice on it for 20 minutes and no longer than that. Then don't put any more ice on it for an hour after the 20 minutes of applying the ice. See if you can bend your knee while lying on your back after putting ice on it. You can continue to put ice on it for 20 minutes and then keeping ice off of it for an hour, as needed. this will help with the inflammation. You may have torn some ligaments in your knee. Get you MD to check it or if the pain is too bad go to the emergency room! That way you don't end up with a limp. Nothing that can be done at home other than ice and if there is swelling elevate the leg above the heart.

You may need a second opinion from another MD about your stomach problems. I don't feel it's as simple as metamucil. It could be, but I doubt it.

Hey Doc I have noticed since my knee injury that when I strainten my leg out I can feels like its moving futher back then the other one. And also when I do this it feels like my calf musscle is tight as hell and my toes seem like they are asleep or tight to. It only seems to still hurt when I try bend my leg up or if I move my foot inward and strenth it. Also I picked up some stuff to help clean out my colon after to wait and see how this works.

Based on that info. The ligaments most likely affected are: meniscus medial or lateral. Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL, most commonly affected) and or Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL).

It also sounds like you may have neurological compression of the nerves in the affected leg. This should be checked.

The tight calve could be as a result of the body trying to stabilize the joint and it could be a cause of the numbness or tightness in your foot!
