Has anyone had any of the major piston manufactures make a high compression pistons made for the 2.0ltr Beta engine. I am looking for 11-12:1 compression, forged and machined piston.

goin n/a eh? well i kno kore has some LOWERING compression pistons, to lower it to like 8.5:1 i think. they also have copper gasket's, which i hear generally lower compression a point. and they have forged rods... OR u can just buy their turbo kit and get all that (cept for the rods) <img src=/images/forums/snitz/wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

hehe, but nah i dunno bout higher compression ones.. i wish i could get a beta (i kno where 2 are for 500 ea) and then get it all built.. like really built, blueprinted, knife-edged crank and streghtned botom ends, cylinder walls, pistons, rods, heads, valves, cams... then drop it in my accent with a built tranny <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> right now i just gotta save to get a beta and stuff.. thats dreams enough

<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>HRD you might wanna try emailing several companies along with sending them the specs of the original pistons and ring tolerances together with bore tolerances, and finally what you want, that would hep them the most in finding what you're looking for. Try companies like Cosworth, JE and others...all emails readily accesible through your average car mag hehehe.

Please not the if you're going NA Tuned you'll have to get other components as well as the rings: Cylinder head gasket, rings, rods, stress releived crankshaft, harder-wearing bearings and a head skim job to boost compression further. Since your engine will be in pieses anyway you might as well get the head ported too. no sense in wasting $$$ on labour again when it comes to the Head is there? Good luck!

I had Venolia make a set for my Beretta. I was going to see if they would make a set for the Beta, but I found a source to get them from.

Hyundaikid from Fxtreme had high compression pistons on his accent, but haven't heard of anyone using them on a beta engine.

Did you give up on the staged nitrous idea?

I am still doing the nitrous 100%. I may only need 200hp now to reach my 400+ figure on my engine. I will fill you in later on that though, once I get the deal settled.

For anyone that is interested the friction torisional damper is now getting measured and fabrication should begin soon.

The aluminum flywheel should be done in 3 weeks, so it will be available soon.

I will have pics pretty soon of my battery install, it is a 19lbs battery with 700cca. The battery is half the size of the origional.

I am currently working on N/A engine tuning topics. There will be a 200+ N/A daily driven Tib.

Only a few of the cars can stand up and take the challange, and there are the former semi-pro racers who pop up once in a while to lay claim to a few kills, but the majority are still left standing...we need an edge!

I am currently working with a source for some N/A race components and engine work, as soon as the deal gets sorted out, you guys will be the first to benefit.
