Hey guys... almost ready to put in my sony 12" 350rms with cadence amp (300 max:ermm and i want it to sound good. so i've been to diysubwwofers.com and it is way over my head, anyone know how to calculate the frequency. I need a tuned frequency of 30.5Hz

you tune your enclosure by using different port lengths (if the box is ported). the longer your port, the lower your tuning will be. also, port width will play a factor as well. for example, if you use a 4" diamater port it will need to be much longer to achieve the same tuning if you used a 2 inch port (speaking of round ports, not slot ported enclosures). your enclosure dimensions will play a part in this as well.
