2003 Accent GT

where I personally shift when I'm trying to accelerate at max speed. After first gear's 6250rpm shift I shift at around 6000 rpm's and that seems to be just before I get significant power loss.

I have a 2004 Accent GT and I notice the power really drop off shortly after passing 6,000 rpms. I usually stick with 6,000 as a good shift point (I know that's not really what you asked). I go from 1st to 2nd around 20 mph, 2nd to 3rd around 45-50mph, 3rd to 4th around 70mph, and 4th to 5th at 90-95mph. Not really an exact science, sorry haha.

Well in my car when im trying to beat of of my friends in a little traffic light drag session i will change out of:
First at about 40-45
2nd about 70
3rd at about 90
4th i take to about 110
5th isnt usually reached as one of us will admit defeat...

These are approximate speeds in km/h, i dont really look at my cluster as i dont have a tacho so i go by sounds alone...

I recently beat my friends stock 2.0L se holden camira...
He was so ashamed... :p

Cheers

Look at your owner manual. There's a chart in there.
