Anyone know where I can get a bluish clear coat if there even is such a thing.
Well I guess it wouldn't be called a "clear" coat anymore...more like a tinted clear coat...i dunno...but you get the idea..
and how much would it cost me?
I've gotten quoted a paint job from custom shops down here costs about $1200-2000 dollars. I'm think that bluish tint is mixed in and but its called blue pearls. $900-1300 is if you can find someone who will either do it independently, in their garage, or other means than inside the shop.
uh i paid just under $5000, for my paint job! lol but thats including body work, body kit install, and a custom color which requires alot of prep, and is a few stages. btw, what you want is a clear coat with a pearl added to it. if you want a bluish tint, go with a PPG clearcoat with House of Kolours "lazuli blue"
How much do you guys think it would cost to get the Cuda kit installed and painted (color matched to existing paint) on my Tib? I'm probably going to be ordering it within the next few months, so I figured I better go ahead and start looking for a place to get it installed. Anyone have a ballpark figured of what I would be looking at?
Well I just had mine repainted about 2 months ago a completely new color and it cost my 2 grand for the whole and oh and that also covered them installing my zefiro hood and working with the fiberglass for a while to get it perfect and they also shaved my emblems off for that price.
yah I can do that at maaco for 100 buck and the paint will fall off after a few months

Unless you are getting it painted a custom color, Id leave the paint alone. I have seen aftermarket paint jobs and they come out like ****. (well, at least over here on the east coast) There are runs in the paint, dirt gets stuck underneath. It just never comes out as good as it did from the factory. Unless you are really ready to dish out the dough, don't do it half assed and pay $100 for a paint job because YOU WILL REGRET IT! If you want it painted orange, or yellow, etc. Just colors the car isn't avaliable in, then I would go for it. But be ready to pay a couple of grand. A friend of mine has a black civic that was wacked on the side and needed to be repainted. In the shade, it looks OK. But let the sun hit on it, wow, you can tell what panel is original and what has been repainted. I wouldn't want my whole car looking like that. LOL. Thats why I say make sure you really like the color of your car before you drive it off the lot. (Can't go wrong with black)
Hi, I'm a new member, but in regard to your question, minimum a couple of thousand if you want it factory-quality. That maaco crap won't look good or last. Better to spend a couple of thou than to throw away a couple of hundred, right?
