heres some pics

Cockpit

Rear view of the chassis

Fiberglass hatch and bumper no attached

I did some measurements. we have been working off the ride height of 60mm and never thought of measuring the complete height to the tip of the roof with the car sitting at ride height. I was quiet amazed the standard x3 is 55" or 1400mm my car is 48" 1200mm.

If this car goes well were thinking about making a genesis coup with a tube chassis and the genesis engine to race in the 6 litre catagory but thats a few years down the track.

1000 hours roughly plus lots of thinking at work

Just working out where to put stuff to get it as centeral and low
as possible takes alot of time

For example the engine sits over to one side of the car and originaly it was to high and to far in the passenger side. so we spent a week moving it over and lowering it.

Have a look at the last picture the bearing holder for the steering column took about 10 hours to fabricate and make brackets for. Then i polished it to make it look pretty:D

The engines now that low that we have to use a dry sump pan that follows the shape of the crank to get the 60mm of ground clearance under the engine.

Then because of that we have to find a place to put the dry sump tank.
If you do one thing it always seems to affect something else.

Im 99% sure that we have got it right now and everthings in its final positions.

In the next week or 2 im going to take the bdy of and weld all the joints that are tacked. Then it will roll then all the cosmetic work begins.

Havnt been on for a while now, time for an update.

The car has been chopped up and redone in so many areas in the last couple of months. Ive replaced alot of chassis parts with chrome molly.
The chassis is nearly finished just need to strengthen the front end.
