I noticed you have some pretty sweet mods in your sig.....

O yeah I also need to know what kind of cluch, axles, and gears you are running.

I don't know about the rest of the stuff, but the 150 shot NOS is possible. I remember onpol (from fxtreme) saying guys did that on their tibs in Puerto Rico. Crazy sh!t though<img src=/images/forums/snitz/uhh.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Heh, he said 340hp and 301lbs of torque, thats a mean machine, Im pretty damn sure you have to completly rebuild you motor, do head work, bore out clynder walls and get one bad ass intake manifold, also get a totally bad ass fuel pump, with injectors, t3 with a big ass intercooler with boost controll, What Im wondering is do you right high or low compression? Do tranny work, and if he was REALLY into it, do my weight reduction specialties. The lighter the better.

Im curious also what you have done so far to run boost with that level of a nitrous shot and also considering the level of boost that a t3/t4 is capable of why you felt the need to supplement with NOS.

Hey Spoolin,

Do you have any times yet? I'm curious if a turbo Tib could easily beat a Mustang GT.

well, damn...lol... nce to see everyone curious.. i really didnt appreciate the negatie comments.

Well heres the story, all of my engine work was done at (like i said before) at high performance engine soluions out of atlanta... a guy named andy mannagan. u might recognise the name if u follow top fuel ..

Im going t tell you what i know, im gonna go hit the dyno, and im gonna try and get some pics up here. iif thats not good enough then i guess youll have to flame me.

I was "given" a T3/T4 hybrid out of an integra.(all i had to do was unbolt it myself... while the guy wasnt looking... and the cops werent around)... i contacted andy and im using mandrel bent pipes.. all tig welded with a front mount greddy intercooler on a custom bracket and a Greddy wastegate.

The zex kit is a direct port system, pluging into a custom fuel rail. im using 550cc injectors from accell with a adustble in-tank holley fuel pump.

Fuel and ignition systems were brought together through a stand alone ECU system which allowes me to adjust boost and such. Its custom molded into my dash with a urathane base.

as far as internal engine mods, my head was ported with a 5 angle valve job. two custom cams were cut from crane, heavy duty valve springs and arms were used. Heres where it gets fuzzy for me... i dont know enough about internal engine mods to get technical here. i let andy handle this.my pistons were titanium dipped and were were used as well a my plugs and rods. the crank was cut and shaved to give me a little bit longer stroke. my piston rings are 14k gold plated to conduce heat stick between the pistons and the walls.

my intake manifold was custom cut and designed by andy and a 62mm throttle body was cut to match the intake manifold.

im breathing through a 2 1/4 inch custom cat back system with the cat cut off and a small resonator was put in its place. an HKS drag muffler and silencer complete the package.

MSD ingition and 11mm wires push to bosch platinum +4 sparkers.

as far as the rest of the drive train... im stock.. stock gearing and all. clutch is a stage two model from ACT. havent gotten around to the flyweel yet.some larger brakes and slotted rotors were salvaged of a santa fe that was just sitting there "i swear"...

other than a set of micheline tires i cant think of anything ive forgotten.

i generally run in the high10s-low11s range and lol.. i added the N2O because theres always someone faster... never can be too careful.

i do have to admit lying about one thing... lol the seats havent been baught yet... sorry all

thanbks for answering. just some things i'd like you to answer:

how much did you pay for all this work?
you are running 2 1/4 piping, don't you think you should upgrade that to 3" for a turbo application, you can't be running as strong as you could be with that little piping.
you just went up to this place and said, boost the **** out of my car?
how much boost are you running?
a stage 2 clutch is holding up to all that claimed hp? i find that odd, but then again i'm notthrowing any flags as of yet.

uhhhh, i'll think of some more later, and i'm sure people on the board have some questions too.

Wouldn't the axles have a problem with that much power.. and what if you sratched a gear turning that much torque.. wouldn't that powrderize those (i don't know the technical terms) spoke like things that lock in a gear? Not to mention what the stock sencros must endure. I never called BS but i have seen a zx2 motor pretty much explode with a turbo and NOS (55shot) I don't think he had done anything to beaf up the engine though and your running 150 shot? I can see the car standing up to that if its a track car. BTW do you realize your cars faster that a Ferrari Maranello in the 1/4mile??? Damn i always though Italian/Supercars were faster than 13's.....

Hey guys i forget who asked about quarter mile times as of yet i have none. I plan on having the car completly finished and ready to run for the 2k2 season. And hyundairacer it wasnt that i dont belive you its just that with a t3/t4 over 9.0 to 9.5:1 compression a set of turbo grinds and independant fuel management you could be running 20-24psi if you could get the drive train to handle it so i was curious if you ever thought of dumping the N2O and using the money to invest in some custom shafts or a LSD also if you happen to get a chance to talk to your guy see if you can get the specs on the motor just cuious as to what bore he used if he sleeved the block what mods he has made to the head final compression ratio did he use an arp kit or did he fab up his own studs whats the stroke on the crank etc. if i could compare it to what im doing that might help me come up with some new ideas. Thanks for any help you can give us

um...wouldn't moly rings be a better choice?
I've never heard of using gold for internal engine work. Too low of a melting point.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/eek.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Well running a 2 1 /4 is very small for 340 hp on a t3 turbo, you should be running either A: 3 inch turbo exhasut or B: do things my way and dont have a damn exhaust at all. Do you have dyno results? I would like to see them for proof.
