I was also thinking of doing a paint job in my car when I saw Bat's. But I said I'll work on my engine mods first.

Hey Rudy,

Some generic Rustoleum (was called Home and Garden or something but made by Rustoleum), picked it up at Ames, on sale for $2.99 a can (what a cheap shmuck eh?) but I used a bare metal light gray primer first. The primer really helped, the yellow went on real smooth and covered the very first coat.

I put on like three coats of yellow and then like 4 or 5 coats of clear.

Hmmm I'm a cheap a$$ so not much... a couple trips to Ames (Dept. Store) about 9 cans of paint, some sand paper and a lot of patience - around $40.00.

Hmmmm...9 cans you say?
Did you get any dry-spray?
I thought you might of used a spray gun.
It looks very shinny, did you use some kind of clear-coat afterwards.

that is long's car, it's not paint. he wrapped the whole car in vinyl, which is 10x's more difficult than painting and also looks better.<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>
