That sure would be nice to have, but damn, 5 months!! Well, you could always guess where the brace matches up. There can't be too many bolts under there, or any more than one set that matches up.

Despite the 5 months, what's the expected effect on suspension? Is this a complement on un upper strut brace, kind of a substitute? Would a Sway bar be useless once you have an under strut brace? Hey Guiltybydesign it would be very nice to see a pic and share your impressions after installing the bar.
By the way, all those 5 months, is that usual in HDK? Buecause they have a lot of stuff.

it will make your car even stiffer if you have both upper and lower tie bars. it is not necessary to have both though.

They do what the names say. One is for the upper part of the chassis and one is for the undercarriage. In my opinion, I would suspect that the lower bar would help better, if not the same for cornering.

Well to answer ones questions.

To JonGTR I found out where the brace went it goes in the front and bolts into the lower control arm. Install took about a hour would have been quicker but I had a P.O.S jack so that took up some time. All you have to do is remove the front bolt on both control arms and reinstall and tighten.

Zman yeah that is about the average wait for a part from HDK thats if you ever get the part and then you have to worry about the part being correct or not. I had to file a complaint with the BBB to get mine. I have the both upper strut braces and both front and rear swaybars on my car. So it shouldn't hurt any with having both upper and lower strut braces with swaybars. It seems that the car handles a lot better with this lower strut brace I was taking 90 degree turns at about 30 or so today didnt really want to push it to hard just yet. But man I love how it feels but I have noticed that with the upper strut brace it doesnt push the corners as good I might remove the front one and run it to see how it feels. The main reason I say that is because when you enter a sharp turn the front seems to want to push out. But it still feels very nice inside the car. It also seems to have a better steering response as well.

So what you're saying is that the front strut bar causes your cars front end to push into the corners and isn't giving you the handling like it should?

Well what I mean is that when you go through a corner it stays nice and level but it seems like the front end wants to push out but it may be b/c that I'm not used to it yet that is why I want to remove the front one to see how much difference is between having it and not having it. Someone else posted about it in the forums that if you SCCA race you may want to remove the front one that way the nose of the car would dive down into the corner instead of pushing it out straight.

Hey, regarding these stabilizer bars, being that the Tib and the Elantra cars share the same platform, will the stabes for Tib work on my 2001 Elantra? Hope so!

What tires do you have in your car? I was discussing this issue with a friend, and from what I know, if your suspension is too tight, it might feel great inside, and the car will ride perfectly ... on a straight line, BUT, the sway bars also limits the movement of the tire, thus, it limits it's capability of accomodating, to sit properly on the ground. So maybe when you take turns, if the ground is anything but perfect, your tire might be loosing contact and traction. It could get better with sitickier tires, or maybe your sway bars are just too stiff.

I have 215/35/18 Paradas on my car and I have the rear swaybar set on the middle hole. I noticed the other day it feels like the front tires are actually being pushed across the road but it's not to bad only slips over a little bit but it still feels good while your inside the car.

Yeah it sounds like it just stiffened the front end too much. try to soften your front sway bar or stiffen your rear (or both) by putting in both front cross bars you torsionally stiffened your car alot. which makes the car act like it has stiffer springs and sway bars. there is such a thing as too stiff a sway bar. especially in the front of a fwd car.

Keep in mind that, all things being equal, stiffening one end of the car will make that end slide out more quickly than it did before. Most cars come from the factory with quite a bit of push (front end slides first) so adding stiffeners or sway bars to the front without adding at least as much to the back will only make this worse.

Good luck!!

Thanks for the info when I ordered the under strut brace I thought it was the back one. Oh well I mean I like it and all but I dont want to have to wait another 5 months to get the rear one. What if I took the front upper strut brace off would this help I guess I could try and see. If it feels better I might just leave it off in case I ever want to go S/C I wont have to worry about the upper strut brace not fitting.
