Does anyone know which import muffler is the loudest? Cause im looking at this one thats only 8 inches long... im pretty sure it's just a straight through glasspack type in an oval stainless case, but I wanna know whats the loudest.

just strap a coffee can to your piping.... LOL, the ultimate bolt on.. . Seriously you want a loud brand name muffler, look at the Apex'i N1 or any round canister exhausts, they pretty much run straight through, The loudest I've heard is Tanabe, but they dont make universal exhausts.. My friend runs a civic with a H22 motor and has just headers then straight piping, that sh!t is pretty close to what that sounds like...

Whats with you guys and loud mufflers any way, I've said it too many times before, loud does not = faster. Plus just adding a muffler with out mid pipes will loose power.

Well.. First off, I'm not looking for fast. I've got 81 hp and a motor that burns oil. And what do you mean I'll lose power of i dont have mid pipes???

How loud?

Do you like 130-140db? Take off catalyst converter and add 67mm dia. pipe all the way back of your car straight away.

If too loud, add a 5 Zigen Cannon Ball or Racing muffler at the tip and reduce to 115db.

Wear helmet and ear piece.

I have an HKS, and I'm starting to not like it at all. I wanted something kind of quiet, but yet still had performance gains. At low speeds, there's a loud growl, but once you hop on it at expressway speeds, it sounds like a damn bumblebee!

if you want it loud use the thermal research and development strait though....you can hold a conversation in the car above 45mph...if you want some thing sweet and performs well with little change in the factory sound (plus a little rumble) use the konig mozart adjustable straight through... i swear by them ...my old elantra dynoed 7 hp more than stock....rear replacement only
