You know? I don't know if I'm just wasting my time but I seem to be the only die-hard for import shows to let other people know that hyundai is comming up... So when ever there's a show I'm always asking "who's representing" and no one seems to reply. I'm in So.Cal. and I'm traillering my sh*t to Texas and I would like to know if there will be any other hyundais present. You guys all bag on Honda this or Toyota that but I don't see anyone at these shows other than home-girl Summer's Tib and some few shark heads. So what's the deal? I'm starting to loose faith in some of yall...

Regardless, I'm still representing!.... and still winning....

Well if I had the capital, I would have a lot more goodies on my car... until then, I won't be representing in auto shows.

I have a dumb question, what do you put on your car to make it so shiny? I've noticed that alot lately in cars shows, the cars look like they are wet. Is there some product that gives it that wet look or just the lighting?

Well I am sure that all of would love to have the money to build a show car and to have the time to show it. The problem is that most of us do not own our own business and make gobs of money so we can not only afford to spend money on our ride and gobs of time to show it. If and when I ever have a show car again I will show but only if I can get time from work to do so. After all I can not screw work because they are the reason I can afford to drive in the first place.

We all represent Hyundai in one way or the other. Some of us simply do it by hooking up our rides the best we can and just simply driving it around for our own pleasure. Others enter it in as many online comps as they can. Some even have the time to take it to almost every show in the nation. While others just sink gobs of time into this and/or other websites trying to answer questions for others. We all do the best we can but some just can not do as much as you. But at the same time there are others that do way more then you have or ever will do for hyundai enthusiasts. Names like Random, Batlord, Dan, Bry, Red,and Rob come to mind off the top of my head. I am not trying to knock what you do and many of us apreciate it but please don't knock what others choose to do with there time and money.

Thankyou

Whewwww
Glad I finally saw this post. I was wondering if anyone was going to make it to WIC. Especially Ole' Long Dong and the other Dallas boys. Hadn't heard from anybody so I thought I would be the only Tib out there. Yea...I've decided I'll be showing too. I probably won't be regestering until Saturday, but I'll be there all day Sunday for sure.

Long, if 'ya still got my number, call me !!!

veilsidetib00, i don't know how deep your pockets are, but you may just want to consider WIC on Sunday. As far as I remember it's like $40.00 for Saturday and Sunday. You'd probably be limited on time too, IR and WIC are about 40 miles apart.

Anyway, hope to see some other members out there.

Jem all I can say is your one Lucky BASt#@! his car is very amaizing in person with his remote Air Ride thats just Nasty its so Nasty it should be illegal I couldnt believe how cool that was. I need you to send me some cards for your business because im going to be using your DVD at car shows and I was driving last night and some guy pulled up behind me and I guess he saw it on the screen in the headrests and asked me where I got it so I know Im going to get mad questions at shows so its alot easier to hand out cards then explain the site...other then that It was the best show I have ever been too H town was definently an awsome experience...lata

Hey Veilside...Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you, I was probably watching the racing when you stopped by. That red Tib you're talking about was pretty clean; not mine though. The guy lives in Texas City and I told him about this forum so hopefully he'll stop by.
My tib was the kinda burgandy color (WindRose) parked in the row across from long. The one with the engine bay done in Stainless Steel and blue silicone. I was about two cars down from the blue Accent directly across from the DJ booth.
Sorry Guilty or Hyper weren't able to make it this time, but I did get to meet several more peeps with Tibs.
Got ugly after the event going home. I took the back way to avoid I10. Supposedly on the 146 bridge a black Civic opened fire on someone else - killing both occupants, a guy and a chick. Don't know all the details yet; I'll keep ya'll posted.

As far as the outcome of the show, I'll leave that up to long, think he may have something to say.

THIS IS ALL I FOUND SO FAR

BAYTOWN — An 18-year-old man was shot in the head by another motorist on the Fred Hartman Bridge shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday.

The 18-year-old was listed in serious, but stable, condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Police closed the southbound lanes of Highway 146 at the Missouri Street exit. The bridge remained closed for at least two hours as police attempted to recover bullet casings from the crime scene.

Baytown Police received a call about the shooting at approximately 5:58 p.m. The shooting occurred in the southbound lanes of the Fred Hartman Bridge.
The incident is under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jim Poppenhusen said three cars were driving south on Highway 146. They had just left Houston Raceway Park in Baytown.
Poppenhusen said that as the cars crossed the Fred Hartman Bridge, a black Honda Civic pulled along side and fired several shots into the cars, which contained a total of 12 people.

High winds prevented LifeFlight from transporting the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The man was taken by ambulance instead.

Poppenhusen said police had very few details Sunday night. The vehicles’ occupants were too busy ducking to notice any specific details about the Honda Civic. There was believed to be only one shooter.

Poppenhusen also said police did not have a motive or suspect Sunday night.

According to police, one of the witnesses had a video camera running at the time of the incident, which police may be able to use to gather information about the suspect.

Anyone with information about the shooting should contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Department homicide division at (713) 967-5810.
