Well, I went back home this weekend from college, and made myself a CAI... I bought a ractive filter off of ebay, and found all the other necessary materials at Home Depot!

The cars sounds incredible. At high rpms it just makes everyone stare, and tunnels just shake!

Well sound wouldn't do anything without performance, and I damm sure feel the difference. Especially on the highway, because I have it set up almsot as forced induction... I have the hosing right down to where the fog lights would go.. if you have a good eye, you'll be able to see it on my pics page in my website... I forgot to take a pic of the engine bay.

Sure, but the way I did it is specific for the 2K Accent... you might get some ideas from it though. I'll e-mail it to you.

Well, I never experienced a popping sound when I let go of the gas... that usually happens when you have unburned fuel in the exhaust and something sparks it. You can intentionally do that by putting a spark plug in your muffler, but I don't know how to do that.
Like I said in another post, my Naxos muffler isn't too loud, mainly because I don't have a cat-back yet, so I haven't really increased the airflow.
About the intake though, the sound comes from the engine... so its a surrond sound effect, it doesn't really add any loudnes to the muffler.
I think someone else on this site might be able to go into more detail about the popping sound, so make a new topic about that if you'd like.
peace.
