Well I finally got it with the help of a few buddys (one last weekend one this weekend lol). Here are some pics of it installed :

Everything didnt go as planned and it was seriously a PITA. The piping had to route down and underneat on the driver side b/c the evap canister (now i see the thread on removing it....). Hangs lower than i wanted and the bumper didnt go togother perfect on the sides, i'll fix that later. WOW What a difference it made in a seat of pants test, let me know what you think.... It doesnt show as much intercooler as i was hoping either....

O yeah I also couldnt fit the fog lights back in, mesh the holes out maybe?

Ha, looks like my X3... Just way the hell cooler. Nice work! I like the mesh idea for the foglight holes, maybe behind the center opening also? Looking very good.

PS What type of ground clearance do you have with the piping coming out of the intercooler? Looks like you might find issues bottoming it out. :??:

The ground clearance isnt as bad as it looks in the pics. I wont bottom out unless i was to pull to far up against a parking curb. However i have springs for a 2inch drop and then it will be a problem, so Im going to take it to a shop and have them weld something up because it can much higher just not with the bends i had available.

Yeah, just be careful going down steep inclines... I bottomed out my toe hooks all the time on stock springs.

Wow I cant remember one time my car has ever bottomed out in the 2 1/2 years I've had it.... I also have the gsi with the "sports" suspension , supposed to be a bit different than the other models. Not sure exactly how....

Mine bottoms out on the curb of every single driveway except mine it seems (the curb is cut down on mine, thank God)...I never pull into my g/f's driveway b/c I bottom out really bad...and I have stock springs! And yes, the GSi struts/springs are 'sport-tuned' a.k.a. stiffer, basically.

Back on topic now...lol. It look really nice...I like the red body and the small pieces of blue visible...it looks really good.

super sexy... love FMIC's ;D that will def turn some heads for you now. people see shizzle like that in their rear view or side mirrors and they want a piece. make us boosted X3's proud :rambo::chinese::bandit: maybe you can fab some brackets to hold the piping higher if scraping will be a worry.

did you block off your Idle Air Controller? how does it run like that?

The isa is still plugged in laying on the intake runners. I plugged of the vacuum lines for it and adjusted the idle by the screw. It idles exactly where I want it now, and perfect with the a/c on. When i had the 1.5ecu the idle was screwed up and down always different so i removed that thing and solved the problem right away. Just didnt put it back when i swapped ecus, still perfect idle though. Its a little funny on a really really cold day with a cold start though lol. I was thinking about using a bracket to lift it up as well....

I second that. Mainly because it's pretty much the same thing I plan on doing with a few parts under the hood.

Might want to get a welder to finish those pipes up for you bro, the more clamps are on there, the better the chances of blowing out will be.

Good so im not the only one with no foglights in the foglight holes now lol I plan on getting on the dyno this week actually. I'll prolly videotape the runs.... I hope to have a welder do those pipes up soon...

My car came without foglights. The filter to the turbo is on the drivers side, right behind the opening for the foglight. The passenger side is cut, but I kept the "you couldn't afford foglights" plug in that side. Not sure why, but I like the way it looks.

Yes, I have thought about painting the intercooler black, but my car isn't a sleeper (2.5" sidepipe with no muffler or resinator and SCCA stickers kills it).

I may end up painting it black but I have a hood scoop that used to blow on the side mount lol Its soon to blow on the oil cooler ;-) Im going to enjoy how it looks for some time though.... Im loving seeing the front mounts on the accents in this thread :rambo:

Dude, don't paint it black... It looks like it belongs there. Just my opinion though.
