I'm installing an aftermarket radio and front-door speakers in my 2000 Tiburon on Friday. Any hints, do's/don'ts, gotchas I should look out for?

I bought a Pioneer DEH3300 and Polk 6.5's. Got em from crutchfield, so have some really good install sheets, so I don't expect any surprises. (The Polk 6.5's were on sale as well... $79.95 ($20 off) <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>).

Only thing that I can think of is that when I installed my Pioneer DEH-P7200 the way that it fits in there is kind of wacked. There is enough room to show a little bit of a gap, but not enough room to fit the trim plate on. There's not much you can do about it, unless you wanted to customer fit something to it. Here's a pic...but I'm not sure how good you can see it:

Ya...now that I look at it...you can't really tell from here...I'll try to rescan the picture later on tonight and enlarge it a bit...

f you got the radio from crutchfield you should not have any trouble installing it. Here is a pic of mine it is a Pioneer 5200.

Well, I did buy it from Crutchfield, but he instructions weren't all that great. They didn't show where the clips were and didn't say much more than "pull".

Finally got it put in (my center console was severly stuck and took a lot of work to get it loose without breaking anything).

Still need to put the Polks in, but already it sounds much better
