Usually I'm content beating civics, integras, accords, etc. by weaving through cars and finding the holes where they don't fit or see.... but yesterday I dragged raced my little Accent with no engine mods against a '90 integra that had a performance intake and an automatic transmition. It was actually one of my friends cars who had just purchased... but raced by my other friend, who drives a well tuned '96 integra. Everyone aggreed that that integra would beat mine, except for me... and who was right, I may ask? Well me. We did three runs, the first I pulled off the clutch perfect, doing a soft squeal, and taking off much faster that the integra. As I shifted to second, I lost some ground (freaking stock shift is so long)... and then out of nowhere this car pulled right in front of me... needless to say I flashed my hazzaards and declared victory. Second run, I didn't take off as nicely, and was head to head with the integra, until it took a slight advantage when I shifted into second. Last run, once again, I soft spueeled and burned the integra.... Victory! Sorry guys, but that Integra definately had more horse power per pound, and the intake does make a difference, even though it was a short throw. Can't wait to modify my engine, and really take off on these guys! I'm thinking of getting a catback and CAI instead of rims... but damm I sure need more grip, stock tires suck ass.
Peace.
