It doesn't matter what off set you get with a 2K+ Accent. If you get a 7" wide wheel YOU WILL RUB. You will rub on the screw that mounts the bumper to the body in the back. You will have to relocate this screw back a few inches and cut the bumper & fender lip back about 3" from the edge. You should get a 40mm offset or higher though just to help a little.

Well, what about 6.5" wheels? Or is it the 205 width tires that cause the rubbing?

Was it rubbin on the fender lining or just on the screw? If its the lining, i'll just cut a good bit of it off and move the screw. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/approve.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

I have a 2K accent with 7" wide 205 series tires, I have had them for about a year now and haven't had any problems with rubbing. My car is also lowered too. I have had the backseat full of people and still no rubbing. Shouldn't have any problems if you ask me.

Maybe I am just lucky...but I seriously haven't had any problems.

Yep so maybe with the LC accent you have to go with at least a 40mm offset to have rub free driving.

I don't now man. I've known people with 15x7,16x7 & 17x7" rims and they all had 40-45mm offsets. Mine were 16x7, 40 offset with Kumho 205/45-16 tires. I also had my camber set at -1degree. I hit about 1/2 inch into the screw. No amount of offset is gonna correct that.

Do you have a 2000+ Accent(LC). If you do it is the screw that holds the back bumper to the body. Just look in the fender where the bumper mounts and you will see it. I put some white paint on mine to see how much it was rubbing.
