Alright here is one for the record books, a friend of mine had just purchased a 1990 Ford Escort Gt over the weekend for $20 no joke (died 2 days later) which i guess had been sitting for 2 years, but believe me besides it needing work the car was really quick with a 1.9L H.O. motor. He doesnt know how to drive stick, so I drove the car, and then figured I would ask to race a friend of mine with his Lc Accent for fun, visit this site http://www.putfile.com/thejonas53. Jonas does win in the end, only because of the second gear slipping, otherwise I pulled on him. Still the moral of the story is Hyundai rules, and Ford well you know is just plain ...

I thought GT escorts came with a 1.8 DOHC motor with variable intake flap things. That one as a 1.9.. the turd motor my moms 95 had?

Who locked the brakes up and why?

The escort locked the brakes up just cause at the end there was a turn and we were slowing down. I think he was just doing that on purpose

Yeah, the older Escort GT's had the 1.9 sohc... Ford started using the mazda based 1.8 dohc in the second generation Escort GT's. Jonas, stay away from my Escort... lol

I'd actually love to even though my Ford would lose. She doesn't scare easily, but she does make funny noises... The gearbox is close to taking a $hit. :dead:

I had to lock the brakes because I ran out of room, and the suspension on the escort was completely gone. I would have rolled and rolled and rolled, and the driver's door didnt close all the way. I could have died! It was a fast car for 2 days, and then it was scrap for $100 stupid water pump. I bought the car for $20 so what do you except, the way it was it was FAST! Escort GTs rule, but I would never get rid of my LC2!
