Well for those who want to turbocharge their cars and or are shooting tons of NOS we offer our custom made KORE drag axles. Capable of handling up to 350hp. These are made using a tubular torsion style center with HD joints. These are full replacement units for the Tiburon. This company make the shafts for people like Lisa kubo, Miles Batista and so on. These are top shelf parts...... and are expensive 600.00 a set

parts are in the store

Not to be a total nuisance, but where are you guys getting these parts from? I've got a quote from a specific aftermarket company that claims the same big-name players as you do -- but my quote was for 450WHP-guaranteed axles and was less expensive.

Secondary thought, I haven't heard of a lot of broken axles by themselves. I *have* heard of a broken axle in conjunction with a broken diff, but there are several possibilities there...

Tertiary thought -- an axle's "rating" can be cut in half by using an "unlimited slip" differential. A limited slip diff allows power to be evenly dispersed across BOTH axles, thereby increasing the amount of power you put down while decreasing the amount of stress on a single axleshaft. In a stock diff, you can theoretically send ALL the power to just one axle which could snap it straight in half.

Ok, I'm done

yes there are a few other people making
axles and they are cheaper but no one has had the success that this particular company has with axles not breaking that they manufacturer. since there isnt any warranty on these, I wanted to have them made by the best company that i could. I didnt make these for the sole use of selling them, i ma making these for our car we are building, smae as the rods, pistons, gaskets,etc..... the fact we will/are selling them is a by- product of building the car. I could have HD axles for under 400 but I have seen them break too often. I am friends with many of the top import guys and this company is the one most recommended. As far as a limited slip, I was one of the people who helped develo the Kaatz unit when i was at JRP and I also met with Mr Quaife at Indy last year and talked to him about the Hyundai. We know and have known for a long time what will work in the tib fora dif. but no one seems to be that interested.... Just like my strut bar, there are cheaper products out there, I just choose to sell the best I can find that is reasonable. To me it is reasonable to spend the $$ if you spent all the other money and go to the track and break on the line due to an inferior product, well then you lost all the travel time and effort so to spend a liitle more to me is worth it.

thanks
dan

I'm in the same boat you are -- I'm buying these axles specifically for my drag-race vehichle.

Since you used to work at JRP, then you likely know Derek who still works there. It's Derek that helped me locate these driveshafts after I explained my power requirements. Quite honestly, 350WHP axles aren't enough for the project I'm involved in, thus my questions.

The DriveShaft Shop is who gave me the quote, and they stand behind all of their products just as you explained. It just so happens that I received a slightly lower quote for a higher power-rated axle.

I have replied to your email and will send you another one tomorrow. I have no problem sharing the info, and I'm sure you guys would like to see it.

As for the differentials, I don't know who scheduled what for the diffs. But I do know that I've been talking with Quaife for quite a while and (to my knowledge?) I'm the only one who's been able to get ANY information out of them regarding supporting the Quaife.

Specifically, the AWD Eclipse front differential modification plan.

Does that mean I have more influence? Nope, I just bug people a lot until I get my info out of them. I too am researching extensively for my project, and a Kaaz differential and 350WHP axles are insufficient.

Uhm like you I have no clue on the difference of quality but obviously Red is not being cheap. He had gotten a quote on axles that have a higher rating then the ones Dan is offering. Maybe Dans are better maybe Not but when you call Red cheap over something you have no clue about you are going to piss some peeps off. If you read the post again you will see that Red is not ripping KOREs axles apart but instead is trying to help them out. Maybe there is a better product out there that Dan can buy and sell at a better price. So why don't you let the grown folks talk and go outside and play in your sandbox or something.

well actually 350 is far from what our target is also and but i thought a reasonable estimate for most people. people think that we just do accessories. people forget i was on the MOMO ferrari wsc team, and raced formula atlantic. the last NA motor we built was a 2.0 old BMW that put put 238 at the wheels running dual mikuni's .funny you should say about the ltd slip cause i met with the owner of Quaife from england at the PRI show in indy last year and we already knew that it is a front dif from a awd eclipse with the gears flipped.. thats all the kaatz one is as well and Frank at the driveshaftshop in NJ is the one i was recommended to for the axles as well I guess he just decided to quote me a higher cost than you....lol.... he did do some checking and thats when the cost went up from his previous estimate. he said he had to machine an insert for the inner cup of trans. We already have our pcs arranged for our drag car.. we should scare alot of hondas with it when done......lol but thanks the more we all share our info the better all our cars will be

I never knew that. I don't think many people know where you've been or what you've done. You should post some bio info on the KORE site sometime. It would be very interesting

I've been trying to get him (DAN aka KORE) to post pictures, and info of where it all began, from his beginnings to where he's been and know and talk to as a HISTORY of KORE, but we're waiting for the full launch of the front page, and hopefully soon the launch of the eagerly awaited KORE SHOP... yes a full fledged KORE tuning shop where you can go and see the products and have them installed or just go and hangout with your Hyundai buds... soon soon guys...

Dan, Red,

Have either of you guys approached Hyundai for a sponsership deal. They have to realize the market potential of having a Hyundai in import drag racing and in magazines. They have just started to become involved here in Korea. There is some relutance because alot of the tuning the shops do here are illegal. Mostly it has been the tire companies.. Kumho, Hankook... that have been supporting the racing scene probably to the tune of around $100K each last year... but Hyundai did donate a Tibby as a prize for one of the races.

I believe that fully built Hyundais are very capable of doing some damage out in the import racing scene.

I bet that after being armed with both Korean and US tuner magazines and a nice portfolio you could convince... Hyundai, Kumho, Hankook... even maybe LG or Samsung to sponser you guys.

Shoot, I'm trying to get Ford / Mazda here in Korea to sponser my RX-7.

Unfortunately, while I had given it quite a bit of thought, I'm likely not able to meet the requirements for a sponsorship. I'm sooooo far out in the boonies here in New Mexico that all the sanctioned events would be many hundreds/thousands of miles away. I'm very sure they'd want me to be in quite a few high-visibility sanctioned races, but I'm just too far away to likely meet their needs.

I bet Dan could do it though That would kick quite a lot of ass!
