I e-mailed carmate.com about a body kit for a 00 Lantra and they e-mailed me back saying.

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>The kits that we have are for Lantra. Please check if your Elantra is the same.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=1 id=quote>

well is it?

Also to be sure the 00 and 99 are the same right?

In Australia and New Zealand they dropped off the E and called it a Lantra, everywhere else in the world they seem to be called Elantra

In some other european countries like Germany, they call it Lantra too. And in Korea it's Avante, isn't it?

Mitsubishi owns the name 'Elantra' in some countries and would not allow Hyundai to use it. Now Mitsubishi owns a share in Hyundai they can use the Elanta name.
