at stock ride hight what is the widest tire i can get under first gen tiburon fenders im looking at buying 215 50r 15s. can i i get a wider tire on a 15 inch rim or should i go with 16s. i need the widest tier that will fit and still have full wheel travel. thank you

I drive on 215/40 17s. Looks good and only occasional rubbing of the tire against the front fenders. But that is not on stock ride height.

If you go for 215/50 then your speedo may became a bit inaccurate. Try http://www.c5-corvette.com/tirecalc.htm to check out the different tire sizes.
