LC headlight bulb removal...

1091 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  giskard73
Well, one of my headlight bulbs are burnt out and I need to replace it so i got some HID bulbs and I can't seem to be able to remove the light bulbs. I see a clip and the rubber thing around the bulb makes it VERY difficult. What are the steps to removing the bulb without taking off the headlight assembly? Help would be appreciated :)!

Look in the owner's manual. And I hope you mean HID-looking headlights...

But basically, you pull off that rubber cover and the push down the clip that underneath.

This is my question too (how remove an old headlight bulb) but on a 2003 Elantra GT . I can barely get my hand behind the right side bulb. I've got the dust cover and wires removed but I can't figure out how to specifically get that metal clip off so I can pull the old bulb out.

I have searched the forums but no luck so far, I am still searching but if someone knows off the top of their head, please reply.

Thanks!
