Looking for aftermarket Rods and Pistons

Does anyone know of a company that makes rods and pistons for the 1.5 SOHC alpha motor. Or will I have to get more custom work done? I am building my bottom end for turbo.

We'll be offering the pistons that come with our turbo kit on a separate basis. The pistons will lower you to an 8.2:1 compression ratio and use the stock pin configuration.

The pricing on these is $265 before shipping.

I know. The reason they're so cheap is that they're cast pistons rather than forged. They're not designed for MaDD BooST but they'll be fine up to 300hp at least, which is all most people are looking for.

Well said Random.

2UNIQ, I would suggest you put A LOT of thought into your plan of action before doing anything. Everybody is always hungry for more power, and especially if you have to keep the boost down to 5-6psi, what if you get antsy and turn the boost up and blow something?

Remember, when you're playing with engines, it's always better to spend a little more money and be safe rather than sorry.

But Shadohh, you have to remember those cars are running at low boost and in order to with higher boost, pistons will need to be swapped out.

I'd have to say that if there is anything more important than anything else, it would be tuning.

Tuning, tuning, tuning. Remember that if you plan on going turbo <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>.
