I had a loud clicking in engine and when i took it to the dealer they said i had dirt in my hydrolic lifters and that lead to metal shaving in my head and valves and it sucks. but anyway just letting you all know if you have a loud ass clicking in your engine take it to the dealership for them to look at it while it is under warrenty i am getting around 2500 dollars in work done for next to nothing.

SuperElantra...You'd be surprised to see how many people around here have that problem. Usually when I hear that clicking, I look at the exhuast because that is usually a sign that the engine is shot and blows out some smoke. That seems to be the case. However, their are extreme circumstances like yours, where you were spared. Damn, did you hammer your car? I never heard of something like that before..metal shavings in the valves...Or were you a normal driver and this just occured out of the blue <img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>
