Made a few runs logging a few things....

So I got the emanage support cable that I made finished finally. Went to my dads to borrow his laptop and made some runs and changed some things. I clamped the maf voltage at 1% throttle from 500-1200rpm to help out the idle from the bov venting to the atmosphere (works great btw). Then I lowered my fuel pressure back down to about 43-45psi and added fuel at 50,60,70,80,90,100% throttle from the 2000+rpm range. Car runs fantastic, first run blew the charge pipe off lol First run was 10psi, after the pipe blew off i fixed it and turned boost down to 8psi. At 8psi doing a second gear run my maf voltage reached 4.8volt. Im sure 3rd would of maxed it out, definitely if i was running more boost. In order to work around that Im going to wire up the pressure sensor from my apexi avcr to the emanage to add fuel via the injector harness(you can add fuel pulsewidth after the ecu sends it signal so the ecu has no idea, its for when you max out your maf). My turbo is going 75% duty cycle to hit 10psi of boost (time for a bigger one) and my injectors are well past their 80% duty cycle. Also i am controlling boost by rpm and not achieving 8psi until after 4k (car runs better that way, not tuned correct for higher boost down low). Only running like 6psi until 4k... For those who dont know Im running the beta ecu, maf, injectors and TB....

yeah the emanage has surprised me in the last week, it actually works fairly well with the 1.6 map. blew a charge pipe this week too :) one thing i've been having a hell of a time with is tuning the 290s, they really just can't handle it (still running ~ 17:1 afr in some instances). so for you, dont consider them. go straight to something at your rate *2.5 (emanage says it wont control anything over 150% greater than what the factory ecm is set for).

youve got a whole new car now with that piggy back, and i'm excited for ya! i know for me, the throttle is a LOT more linear now and i'm having a hell of a time not spinning tires in 2nd and 3rd when the roads arent completely dry.

keep us posted on your updates! :D
Since I swapped to the beta ecu its meant for the injectors im using (beta 240cc). That works in my favor as far as getting bigger injectors. With the emanage you should enter the old injector size and then the new injector size and it should automatically take out X percent (the injector size difference it calculates). Perhaps your fuel pressure is up to high? I ordered the injector harness today and will install it as soon as it shows up. I also have a harness that will fit into the pressure sensor harness with a bit of modification and am going to see how the emanage likes the voltage signal from the apexi avc-r pressure sensor ;-) Im very impressed with the emanage, I like it alot and its very user friendly. I'll keep you up to date, let me know how yours is going!
Wow awesome sownds like a good project. I like how you stuck with the alpha. To many people do a bunch of thing to upgrade to a motor with 35 more hp.
Thanks pimp. BTW Rub, what injectors are u using that are 290, they would at least be an improvement over my 240s for now. I really want to swap in my scoupe pistons/shot peened rods but I'll put that on hold till I get a bigger turbo and have everything for tuning ready (including wideband).
What would hapen if you remove the MAF can the e- manage compensate for that or it will be a hole lot of trouble tuning wise , maybe it can be exchange for a MAP sensor so it can rely on something :paranoid:
Nah cant get rid of the map and the emange doesnt allow maf-map conversion or vice versa. I'll just add a pressure sensor to the emanage and fuel pulsewidth/time after the ecu does ;-) Im also going to try otu my 300zx turbo maf sensor since the emanage will allow me to swap maf's of the same type...

man i think i've heard that they are out of the 2.4L santa fe, i ordered them from kspec though. thegrim might know for sure. but the most important part is that 290s are no good for us. get at least 600cc :)
