You might not beleive this but i beat a Maxima with a standard. I took him off the line.. then got him two more times from 50+ on the interstate.. (we both slowed down o get a better race) I am not sure what was wrong with his car.. or if there just slow. I know they have 200+hp. This is not a lie.. i really beat one

What year of Maxima was it? If it was new there is no way he was trying or he was so stupid he didn't know how to put that car's amazing power to use. Of course it always helps that the 1.6L Accents are pretty quick for an entry level machine.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I agree with Stephen GSI. That guy was definately not trying. You are talking about a 222hp V6 vs. a 92hp or 106 hp Inline 4. Sure, the Accent is lighter, but the maxima has the torque and power to move. That guy must of had the parking brake on or something. I have driven it. That car is FAST. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

You do know that it takes 4 times as much power to move anything thats twice the weight right? The new ones are "Fast" but the old ones don't cause wiplash or anything. Besides.. it was in 99 or when ever the body changed that they increased to 222.. before they were 217 with diffrent gearing. This was an eairly 90's so it might have had far less than that do to eingine deterioration... besides power isn't everything.. raced a v6 camero latly?? 200hp with 0-60 in around 10secs. Not all cars are ment to have speed... comfort in some cars counts for more than a 0-60 run.

Can't beat a 240??? I owned a nissan pickup and that could tie them.. they have the same engine... My accent is most definanllty faster than my old nissan. I know they can be made to be Very fast if modified, but not really stock.
